Sometimes wine is all you need

It's all too easy for me to end up in the house not leaving and after wasting enough time I couldn't get to the cross in St Helens on time that was exactly what I did. I think part of the problem is I am not loving cross as much, everyone is disappearing afterwards, I like the talking bit!

Anyway a trip for doughnuts and cookies, followed by wine and pizza for tea and I think I am back on track. Riding tomorrow? Of course!

  1. Come to the 'cross at Leverhulme next weekend. Post race chat and doughnuts aplenty. Hopefully I can make my knackered leg better by then.

  2. Planning on being there, it would be rude not to be since I live a mile away!

    You riding or driving over?

  3. Will probably drive, might be too knackered to ride back after racing!

  4. A day off every now and again is no bad thing. Pizza, wine, cookies and doughnuts... definitely no bad thing!

  5. Doughnuts, cookies, pizza and wine. If you add cake, then that's all your basic food groups. Well done.

  6. Cake, yes had some of that as well and don't worry it was chocolate to cover the chocolate food group!

  7. hmmm... I'm normally told off for grading races on the quality of the apres-race spread. Though the cairngorms sportive has cake all the way throughout...
And I think the chat is important too - otherwise there's no point!

  8. I think the apres-race spread is very important. Hence there is one audax I will definetly return to, the spread was the best ever!
