  1. NUTTER - I wish I could do this on a geared bike. "Chapeau" big time. Good effort. Can't wait to read the detailed follow up to this!

  2. I've been putting off riding to Hayfeild via Disley for weeks because I thought it was too far. I think you've just inspired me!

    Riding again today!!!
Is there any way to tire you out?

  3. That's quite far, clearly you're insane, can't imagine how frigging boring all that road work would be.

  4. Not sure there is anything to say about that apart from wow! I didn't see your email until about half an hour ago as it had been swept into the bulk folder.

  10. I once did a Manchester to Blackpool road 'race' (50+ very flat miles) on a 32:16 SS (geared bike was kaput) it was horrid!

Did you have problems keeping up?

  11. Well the road miles were on my own so I went on my own pace, it would have been a lot faster on a road bike! The ride itself wasn't too bad, I had to walk the odd bit as I kept pulling my feet out of the pedals - new cleats now purchased! Oh and they were a lot faster downhill!

    But it was fab training!

  12. Ahhh, just looked at your map. So it was off road round Disley, Marple, Mellor, Roman Lakes, etc - I'm based in New Mills so that's my local loop!
