Rode to Disley to do a night ride with a group of girls. They were fast! I am tired, home at gone midnight. Lots to write about but it'll have to wait I'm tired!
Not sure there is anything to say about that apart from wow! I didn't see your email until about half an hour ago as it had been swept into the bulk folder.
Well the road miles were on my own so I went on my own pace, it would have been a lot faster on a road bike! The ride itself wasn't too bad, I had to walk the odd bit as I kept pulling my feet out of the pedals - new cleats now purchased! Oh and they were a lot faster downhill!
that's right Dot, I've done a few rides from New Mills, have a friend who lives there. Some nice riding! Not sure I'll ride there for a night ride too often though!
NUTTER - I wish I could do this on a geared bike. "Chapeau" big time. Good effort. Can't wait to read the detailed follow up to this!
ReplyDeleteI've been putting off riding to Hayfeild via Disley for weeks because I thought it was too far. I think you've just inspired me!
ReplyDeleteRiding again today!!!
Is there any way to tire you out?
That's quite far, clearly you're insane, can't imagine how frigging boring all that road work would be.

ReplyDeleteredbike I'm tired now!
ReplyDeleteRyan6hours riding, 1 hr paused. There was a lot of road though! In fact it was mainly road!
I once did a Manchester to Blackpool road 'race' (50+ very flat miles) on a 32:16 SS (geared bike was kaput) it was horrid!
ReplyDeleteDid you have problems keeping up?

ReplyDeleteBut it was fab training!
Ahhh, just looked at your map. So it was off road round Disley, Marple, Mellor, Roman Lakes, etc - I'm based in New Mills so that's my local loop!
