TooGood Lane

I ended up here today. I decided I wasn't too good so went the other way! I had plotted my route today as 58miles, but after forgetting my helmet and going back for it and then going to Asda once I got back I added a bit more onto it. The way out I was battling the wind the whole way out and didn't feel like I was riding very well. The way back felt better but still slow. Turns out it wasn't too bad at all. Route had a lot less climbing than tuesdays route but I still felt the hills a lot!

61.73 miles @ 13.8mph

878m ascent

Still not feeling motivated though, ali had to do a lot of encouraging to get me out!

  1. For someone lacking the motivation to ride you aint half getting the miles in!

Wern't you tempted to do that extra 0.3 of a mile to make it 100km?

  2. Too hungry and I was only so close as I had gone shopping!

Don't want to get unfit and I know that I'll enjoy biking when I'm out for at least some of it. At least this way I don't beat myself up for wasting the day!

  3. Isn't Transwales later in the year enough to motivate you?
I've started riding loads again since entering CLIC24 although it's mainly been road commuting. I haven't got any mtbing mojo at the moment, hopefully that'll come back when the weather improves.

  4. You would think so and it is enough to make sure I get out! But it takes hours or lots of nagging to get me out! I'm sure it will come back!

I've been on my mountain bike twice this month, that is really poor! Must fix rigger - who is in pieces - that might help with motivation!

  5. You sound like a triathlete after my own heart - "It's all about the bike!" Thanks for the follow on twitter.

  6. Been looking at your blog, very interesting. We did some of the same events last year.

I'm not a triathlete but since I live in Bolton I will be out to watch ironmanuk.

  7. You'll have to remind me when and where Ironman UK is Arena/Rivi isn't it?
I feel so inspired now I'm going out to get a pizza ;-)

  11. Cheers, have ordered some. I'm rebuilding my road bike after winter hibernation so I might put a set on there as well :)
