It will only happen if Ali's legs are up to driving and I'm not too busy next week, so if I get too shattered I could ring for a lift. But hey I like cahllenges and I know I can ride 100miles, what is another 85?
Do you have a bike Garmin? I'm sure you can do the distance but unless you know the route, my reservation would be time and directions. I've done similar (but not as far) coming home from family events but I found stopping at junctions and continually referring to maps puts hours on the journey.
What doesn't kill you only makes you stronger
ReplyDeleteQuite probably ;-) I'm thinking of Stockport to Kettering - a much more manageable 125 miles or so.

ReplyDeletePain is only weakness escaping the body. DO IT. You know its worth it.
ReplyDeleteIf anyone can, you can! Are you looking to do some of the mega Audaxes in the future ?
ReplyDeleteYou seem to have a bit up a motorway (I hope its actually roads that run parallel) so yes this ride might kill you.
ReplyDeleteAlso you've gone straight through the peaks (hilly!). Burton upon Trent , stoke-on-trent might be flater. You'll have to plot it and see.
Won't kill you if done over 2 days like a sane person ;-)

ReplyDeleteAnd if you went through Burton you could (hopefully) laugh at all their fans ;)
ReplyDeleteYes I have a garmin, so I can just follow the line.
