Today's commute was eventful...

I had to be rescued and taken to A&E, broken collar bone. I was on my off-road commute, not sure what happened, lost it a bit and was heasing towards a post, thought I saved it and over the bars.

  1. Bummer! The only word I can think of that sums up the situation.

  2. Oh No!!! How long til they reckon you can be back on your bike? The pain in my ribs has only just subsided enough to let me ride on the spinning bike after my OTB incident, I realise I am actually quite lucky as its only been two weeks and somehow I managed to not actually break a bone. Lots of healing vibes and hope your not in too much pain.

  3. De-lurking to say Thank you for a great, inspiring blog and that I hope you heal up soon.

  4. Poor you!

I once saw a bloke come off his bike in exactly the same place I had the previous week. I just had hurt pride and he broke his collar bone. Think I was lucky to get off with hurt pride!

Hope you don't get too bored while healing.

  5. Colin J posted a link here.
    Sorry about your spill. GWS.

    Colly (cyclechat)

  6. Sorry to hear this. I bet you'll find it hard being off the bike. Maybe you could do a book of all your favourite rides??
    All the best.

  7. Sorry to hear about your injury. Was hoping to meet you at WRT if you had entered.Keep blogging as it is always nice to read about your riding adventures. All the best John Horner.

  8. Thanks everyone. Dr has said 3months till I can ride off-road. Sooner for road though and I am giving in and borrowing a turbo training.

No WRT for me John, I was going to be there.

Trying to stay positive at the moment.
